Poltava State Medical Academy was founded in the year 1921 when it began it’s operations by providing training in dentistry with Kharkiv National University. In the year 1967 it was moved to the city of Poltava and was renamed to Poltava State Medical And Dental University. The university received level IV accreditation status from the government of Ukraine in year 1994.PSMU,Poltava is also known by the name Ukrainian Medical and Dental University. Poltava State Medical University works under the governance of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine & Ministry of Education & Science of Ukraine .
