The International School of Medicine was established in year 1993. It is a structural sub-division of the IUK i.e. International University of Kyrgyzstan. The main motive for creation of ISM was to reform the Kyrgyz education system in to a modern educational institution that should provide high quality medical education to domestic & international students from around the world. Today, ISM is among the best medical universities in Kyrgyzstan . The university has dozens of exchange program associations with some of the most renowned medical universities across the world. The International School of Medicine is a private institution and and functions under the regulations of Ministry of Health of Kyrgyz Republic & Ministry of Education & Science of Kyrgyz Republic . ISM has it’s own hostels for providing accommodation to international students. There are several International School of Medicine’s hostels, some of which are located within the campus region and some are located in other parts of the city. All hostels have separate blocks for boys & girls. The hostels are very well equipped with all modern facilities like security systems, CCTV surveillance system, fire alarm safety system and round the clock security. All floors of hostels has common washrooms, toilets, kitchens, etc. Students who are interested in other activities like physical work outs can also use the gym facility available in hostel. Reading hall is available in each hostel for those who prefer to study in silence. Indian mess facility is available within the International School of Medicine hostels for ease of students. Students can choose between vegetarian or non-vegetarian meals.
